MATX EVGA Mobo, will it run a Radeon video card?

It supports "nvidia sli" but it doesnt support crossfire. I'm not worried about using two radeon cards, I just want to use ONE with this motherboard, can I? The model is http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=121-BL-E756-TR&family=Motherboard%20Family

EVGA Micro ATX SLI X58|||Yes it will do fine... On x58 motherboards crossfire is understood on any board with more than one PCIEx16 slot. Only boards without the nvidia chip embedded onto the motherboard cannot SLI. All x58 boards crossfire that accept 2 or more cards, even though the specs do not declare it...

Is the 4350 RADEON video card good?

I play starcraft 2 and i was wondering if the 4350 RADEON video card was a good card to play Starcraft 2, at least medium settings?|||HD 4350 is just a budget card. It is pretty weak for Starcraft 2 and many other games. SC2 might only play at low settings and low resolution. You need at least the HD 5570 for smooth play at medium settings.

http://www.techspot.com/review/305-starc…|||if you are only going to play starcraft then yes, but that is outdated and was never really considered a gaming card|||maybe medium settings as long as its a smaller map

Is an ATI HD5450 Radeon video card a good one for gaming?

arron is right, the 5450 would be a waste of time. i'm looking to upgrade as well. i've done my home work adn the benchs for that card are not good. it might get you by with the lowest of the settings (if even that good). it amused me to see amd talking it up like they did on their site. inrceases gaming experience... my foot (choice words best not mentioned) when looking for a good card for gaming, they say 5770 is the best cheapy out there of the 5xxx atis (for the money) i'm thinking it's more like a 5670 personally. even then it won't be a beast. it is comparable to the 4830 though, with more bells and wistles. i'm not here to talk of intended plans though. there are a few thing to look at though, the memory bandwith is crucial and it's limited to ddr2/ddr3 memory. ddr5 would be ideal for gaming. not to mention the gpu is watered down, less of everything in general. i wouldn't waste my money. to sum it up, look for dd5, (i would look for 1 gig of memory personally) and atleast a 5670. you might get by with the 5450 but you you will sacrofice perforamce to spare your wallet. i've learned the hard way it's not a good idea and cheaper to buy a more expensive card 1 time than a cheapy and the good card.

below are some links that might help you decide

here's the card i'm thinking would be a good investment. hope that helps.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/…|||It depends on the type of gaming you'll be doing. HD5450 will suffice for several types of games, but thats just it. It will only suffice. If you want to play games the way they're meant to be played, meaning high resolutions and maxxed out settings, you will definitely need something stronger. If the HD5450 is the only thing really in your budget, then so be it. You will just have to lower the graphics settings in the games to where they will allow the computer to still have decent performance.|||No, it's a low-end budget card intended as a basic upgrade off mobo graphics. It is not meant for gaming, especially with such weak specs. It would run games like utter crap, period. Good for videos, but NOT video games. If you'll be doing ANY gaming, then at least consider an HD 5770, or better. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis…

im not sure on the prices but there not top of the range and are at the bottom of the range for the newer games like cod4 crysis (ohno)

look around them and base your card on those results and male chanes if need

but idk maybe a 8 500gt can run it

Should I pay $100 to upgrade to an amd radeon video card?

In the customization menu of the dell inspiron 14r you can upgrade from an Intel HD Graphics/HD Graphics 3000 with up to 1.6GB Dynamic Video Memory to an AMD Radeon™ HD 6470M (64-bit) 1GB Graphic. (yeah, i just copied and pasted, I have no idea what these things mean.) is it worth the $100 to buy the upgrade?|||If you plan on playing games, then definitely. Intel 3000 is NOT a gaming card.|||Are you going to be gaming??? Are you going to be using Google Earth or AutoCAD Programs? If Yes, then Yes.

It really depends, but if you plan or doing anything that is "Graphically Intensive", then the AMD Radeon will be very fast. The Intel Integrated Graphics is cheap, it usually comes with Netbooks. Dedicated means the Computer places all the "Graphics" part of the program in 1 place, so it makes it easier to access, rather than sharing it with the RAM where all your other programs are placed for quick access. It is just like have a Library, but instead of having 1 room for both studying and playing, you would have 1 room. Then your Computer will have a harder time to find out which is which.

But if you only use it for Home-Work, light gaming, and Web-Surfing or VERY LIGHT games like Chess, get a bigger Hard-Drive (7200 RPM, makes your computer load programs faster and boot-up faster), or a faster processor.

Hope this helps :)|||I would. the intel is crappy for drawing a decent frame rate in gaming. overall the AMD is a better performer

Xt1900xtx radeon video card doesnt fit any computers!?

I am so upset,, i bought the xt1900xtx radeon video card because i want to play games on my computer (Oblivion). Well my computer is too old, so i just bought a new Dell computer. Well,, the video card is too big and doesnt fit, so i sent back the dell computer and they dont have any that supposedly would fit. Then i built a computer because my friend said he knows how to build them and i thought he could. well,, the card fit but the computer was a mess, so i decided to send that back.

My question:

How do i know which computers will fit this video card!!?? I want to buy a computer but which one will work with video cards!!!?? Please please help!!|||its obviously a large card... so its going to require a large case... thats the price you pay for the high-end... if you found one that fit... and somehow believe they would make a video card that "doesn't fit any computer"... then you've obviously contradicted yourself... do your research... get a tape measure and have fun!!!|||You ned a maxi size case. If you think that card is big, wait till you see the nvidia ones. It's not just the case, you need a 500-600 watt power supply too

Can't figure out how to update drivers for motherboard to install a new AGP video card, please help?

I'm trying to install a Radeon video card to update from my ancient Nvidia one, and the first step is to update the AGP drivers for the motherboard. It said to go to control panel, system, device manager, and system devices. And here I'm supposed to find the chipset manufacturer's name so I can update the drivers? All I see that seems appropriate is "Intel 8w443BX Pentium II processor to AGP controller." Then it says to double click on the name and go to the Driver tab and then go to the Driver Details button. But the button is fogged out, it's lighter, you know, like when they make it so you can't click on it. So I don't know how I'm supposed to update the drivers... The video card I'm using currently is an AGP one, so do I really need to update anything? It says "Not only do you need display drivers for an AGP graphics card, you also need drivers for your motherboard, which enable AGP functionality for the motherboard chipset." And that makes me think it's fine how it is.|||Thank you for providing some really important information to help everyone give you the correct answer...

You are trying to go into the CONTROL PANEL etc to update a driver,

howerver, you must realize that if you get in to the correct section,

it will automatically ask you WHERE IS THE NEW DRIVER, expecting a CD, a floppy, a web address, etc. and you have indicated that you don't have these...

(DELL usually has a hidden partition on the harddrive, with all the

files needed to get your computer going, and all the "old" drivers..

Sometimes it is deliberately hidden from windows, so you can't immediately see it. These "original" drivers are likely out of date, by the time you purchased the unit! There "may" be the manual and other technical information in files, hidden as well. Check you

settings to see under folder options is there are HIDDEN READ ONLY and SYSTEM file checkmarks to hide the files...)

Your Chipset, as you have indicated, is from the INTEL chipsets,

and you can get an all-in-one chipset driver from the INTEL

website that finds the correct chips and upgrades them.

DELL, at thier website may have newer updates by putting in

your model number.

You might get the name of the "actual" motherboard manufacturer if you can navigate into the BIOS and remove the

" DELL" welcome screen at startup, to see the actual BIOS start screen. "DELL" usually uses some brand name manufacturer

to make the motherboards, and information "may" be available on

the original website, for that, or some very similar board.

( ex. Dell uses a real "INTEL" motherboard, origianally a P7AM-QV, and has intel modify it specifically for DELL, labelling it

the P7AM-Q33 , but they are essentially almost identical, so the

manual on the INTEL website will give you a great deal of info.)

Dell " may" have the manuals, the drivers, the updates, the BIOS

updates, and links to the INTEL chipset, all there for you... ( hopefully )

If this is not an INTEL motherboard, and just "uses" INTEL chips,

then you may find the motherboard by opening the case and shining a light on the white print to see if it has a model number and reveision number.

You can also use software to go in and read the BIOS and chips to see if this will give better information...

TRY the Dell First.

Then try the sofware ( listed in a similar answer below )

Then try looking at the motherboard...

Try the INTEL chipset update.

You will probably be ok, since DELL is a big corporation, and you should find all the info you need on the web...

Once you have updated the motherboard, then you install the video card. Then, you go to the Video card WEBSITE and update

the just- installed driver, sice they update VERY frequently !

Save all the updates to everything an a CD so that you do not have to find everything again !

HERE IS A SIMILAR QUESTION with some information that

might help.....

How exacly can i tell what company manufactured my motherboard?

I recently added a new hard drive (as a slave drive) for extra memory. but the video files i have on the new hard drive skip and is kinda choppy the first time you play the video. i was told to try to update the driver for my motherboard but i dont know who manufactured it.

This is a common problem...

(( ladyfirst, in her answer below gives a link to a 4 meg download,

free, that I tried, and like hundreds of similar applications,

may interrogate your BIOS, and analyze your system, and

may give you details simply by running the program... I would

suggest trying her method. I ran it on my computer, and it was

VERY good at comming up with " MOST" data, although, digging

up the specific REVISION NUMBER of the BIOS may be out,

still, you might be given the actual www.address of the manufacturer to search for more info....

Try these links with the software, and see if they all agree, :

EVEREST

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.h…

COMPUTER CENSUS

http://tucows.com/preview/502506

ASTRA32

http://tucows.com/preview/348128

MvPCinfo

http://tucows.com/preview/404367

(( there are dozens of these types of programs, and you can

use yahoo search or dogpile.com search to find a great many more... _)

Iff this fails, then you

can just open the case and, if lucky, can read the manufacturer's

name and model number somewhere on the board using a

bright light. You may even find the REVISION number. Sometimes the information is obscured by the AGP card or

a PCI card, but these are not difficult to momentarily remove....

otherwise, follow BELOW : ))

[[ Another tip.... if you are "UPDATING" your motherboard with

a BIOS FLASH, proceed very carefully. Make certain your floppy

is 100% CLEAN ( use a floppy cleaner disk with white fiber disk,

and alcohol bottle in the kit... sometimes available at the dollar store, but well worth it... test a few read/ writes, and a scandisk

on a newly written floppy ).

SAVE the old BIOS , even though you don't have to. AND, if

ANYTHING GOES WRONG DO NOT SHUT OFF THE POWER...!

If there is a disk read / write error, get another disk, on another

computer, and use the other disk ( which the computer would not know was a new one, and continue... ) You can even, CAREFULLY exchange the floppy macnine itself.... ANYTHING, but remove the

POWER... ! ! ! Read the instructions carefully, and print them out. And, again, it is vitally important to know the correct revision number, and make certain that it is valid for the BIOS revision

you are using to update....

It is also a good idea to have a battery backup UPS running

during the BIOS FLASH, so that a tiny power glitch would not

destroy your BIOS, --- if anything went wrong, your entire motherboard would be useless...

After upgrading the BIOS, then you can use the CHIPSET upgrade software that will update things, typically like AGP to

PCI bus drivers, PCI drivers, clock timing upgrades, and sound,

lan, modem, etc. drivers if any are onboard. ]]

IFF these methods fail, then:

1/ Rip apart your entire computer and read BOTH sides of the

motherboard and all the sticky labels, particularly on the

first side of the last card slot, and write down all the numbers and

names, and hope that there is something in ENGLISH, that

looks like a model name, and a revision number.

If you are lucky, the NAME is in bold white screen print on the

top, and the REVISION number is printed in a corner somewhere

or on a sticky label on or near the BIOS, with something like

rev. 1.02b

If you are experienced you can sometimes tell who probably made the board by the colours, the way the traces are made,

the configuration, the chips used etc, and some of the codes

written on the sticky labels...

Sometimes the label and model numbers are on the BACK,

which is a real pain, since you "HAVE " to remove the board

itself...

2/ you can try to stop the BIOS BOOT sequence at the start of

the BOOT procedure and read the information on the screen.

Sometimes it will STATE IN ENGLISH the model and make

and revision number as part of the BIOS routine,,,,, JOY

Sometimes it will just give you a long BIOS REVISION

code

like Ac00287-BC8djJ-0030300228-12kidj or something, and

you have to go to the BIOS manufacturers website and

look up the code on a list.... ( AMIBIOS, etc. )

I answered this question just a while ago, repeated here with

more details....

I put your question on my watch list.

The answer to hit the PAUSE / BREAK is 'sort of "

correct, once the first page is finished and the POST

starts, pause will usually work, but the VERY first

screen, with the BIOS revision number usually

blinks so fast that it is impossible to stop on

many computers. This BIOS revision number is

often a key to determining what revision, what

manufacturer, and what company the computer

is .... I have hundreds of computers, and there is

no "rule " to get the screen to stop.... Sometimes,

pause may work... but usually on 286's or 386's,

-- the new computers are too fast to control...

(( Since I have ... HUNDREDS .... of computers,

most come with no manual, and HUNDREDS of these

motherboards have NO MARKINGS whatsoever that

cross reference to any known motherboard by any known

manufacturer. In fact, countless mothrboards are

illegal clones, first commissioned by a large, known

corporation, and then "cloned" cheaply at the factory,

deliberately hidding all identifying markings. The only way

to track down what the board was originally, is to get the

printed BIOS version on the first screen, and go to

the BIOS manufacturer's website, and cross reference

the BIOS # with known listings. In many cases, the

sequence, even then, will list A046B1A-004124 as " other",

or, the cloning assembly line has put in a BIOS revision

number that is not listed at all... Since many of the hundreds

of motherbaords I bump into, are strange, and from around the

world, there are many instances where the Manufacturer,

the Board Name and the Revision number white printed

clearly on the board, mean nothing, with no web search, and

no technical website postings finding anything or anyone who has

heard of the company or the board... There is an exception to

every rule { all motherboards are clearly identified in white

printing }, and I get a great many of the unidentifiable boards,

simply BECAUSE, no one else knows what to do with them !

see my website, kidbots.com ))

I hope someone comes up with something I have never

seen before.... good luck.

As you can see, finding a manufacturer is not a guaranteed process... the odds are, though, that you will find the information

easily - strange boards are getting rare...

FINALLY...

If updating the BIOS, the DRIVERS, and the software viewer

and CODECS does not work, then you have an issue, not with

the software, but with the hardware - is the harddrive a fast one

with large cache? is the cabelling the best configuration?, do you have an ATA drive needing an 80 wire cable, and have only installed a 40 wire? Is there another mechanical and BIOS

location that allows the hardddrive to function faster? Are there

settings in your Operating System that allocate more RAM to the

software viewer, so that it runs faster? Is there another Viewer program that is more efficiently coded that will speed up the

transfere reate, so that the videos run smoothly? etc. etc....

There may be other issues here that are not immediately apparent. On the new drive, go to the manufacturers website and

see how much cache ram is on the Drive board, and what

the RPM ( Pevolutions per minute ) speed is. 7,200 is normal

today, and higher end drives are 10,000 RPM. 5,000 is middle of

the road, and 3,000's are slow, etc. You can compare the same

read times and latency and RPM for the new drive and your old

one to see if there is a major performance drop.

I would also search around for better designed viewer software.

There are any out there, and you might be surprised with much

better performance.

robin|||try the microsoft update site; there check the 'custom" update box... this will then scan your system and if there is something for your particular card, it will show up, download and install as per usual.|||You should have the drivers disk that came with your computer or motherboard. Make sure all the drivers are installed from that. You should have a disk that came with your video card that has the drivers on it also. Install those.

Are you sure that the video card you bought is securely installed?

Is it compatible with your Operating System?

Is it 4X or 8X. There is a difference. Is it backwards compatible?

You can also check the Computer Manufacturer's, motherboard, and video card manufacturers' websites for compatibility and drivers which should be better than the ones that came with your OS or computer.

Another thing you can do if you have drivers is to go to your Device Manager and uninstall your Display adapter. Then either hit Action and Scan for Hardware Changes, or shut down and reboot your computer.

Windows will find any new Plug and Play devices for you.

Good luck.|||OK..you have a dell computer and you need to update the motherboard APG controller. This is part of the Intel NorthBridge Chipset of your motherboard, the 440BX chipset to be exact. Since you did not mention your Dell model of computer, I can't give you the specific Dell webpage. This is an old computer, but I did find the drivers for the chipset on the Intel website. Since you did not mention your OS, I put the top level link for your chipset here. Download the Chipset ID software first and run that to be sure you are getting the correct drivers. If this is the correct chipset then the last time the driver was updated was 5/6/2002.

Thanks - Colin|||The video card can only support 2 monitors. There isn't a way to fix this.

GeForce or Radeon video card?

Which is the better Graphic card - GeForce or Radeon?|||Depends on the card, you gotta be a bit more specific with the card.|||GeForce is a lot better with handling graphics, but Radeon doesn't take up as much CPU usage and it runs your PC a lot faster. If you're looking for cutting edge graphics and High Quality Game play, go for NVIDIA GeForce.

If you're looking for great graphics, but want you're moneys worth then go for ATI Radeon.|||They both make great cards. Some are better for certain applications than others (i.e., gaming, video editing, etc.)

I prefer nVidia because, in my experience, the drivers are more stable and the driver utility interface is cleaner.|||GeForce. I have tried them both, GeForce in my PC and Radeon in laptop. GeForce is better.|||Geforce, overall are better, but Radeon (ATi) have the best card atm, the HD4870|||GeForce is better.

512mb ATI Radeon Video Card for HP Laptop (dv7z series)?

A question about a video card ablity for a laptop.

When I was building a laptop I was interested in buying, I was interested in the video card. Using the model of a HP Pavilion Entertainment dv7z custom notbook, I wanted to put a 512mb ATI Radeon 3450 video card in it. However I was wondering if it could support dual monitors with the laptop being the primary one and another be the external. After doing some research I could not find a answer. My final question is can that video card support dual monitors?|||As a general rule laptops support a second monitor, as they are used for presentation software in a portable format, but only in clone mode. If you are trying to figure out if you can stretch your desktop you will have to connect and look at the video driver to see if it supports that function. A standard install of XP on an older laptop shows that you should be able to stretch across the two monitors.

You'll have no problem with Intel motherboards.|||yes,l you can install ATI on any intel board.

PCPrime

http://www.pc-prime.com/blog|||Ati and Nvidia can go on both amd and intel motherboards.|||As long as the motherboard supports the corresponding slot (AGP, PCI-E, etc.), then the motherboard will be able to support the video card.

Depending on the video card you are wanting, you may want to upgrade your PSU as well.|||Yes. Any VIdeo card will work in And Motherboard. Just make sure its not an AGP as that is old and doesn't work for the P55 Motherboard. :)

I just bought an ATI Radeon X1300 pro 256mb, and I probably couldn't install it even if my life depended on it. HELLLLLPPPP!!!|||is it pci or agp?

turn off pc, remove side cover. insert video card into either the pci slot or agp slot depending on which format your card is.

attach it to your case.turn your pc on and run software.|||The ATI Radeon X1300 runs on PCI or PCI Express. The PCI slot has a hook on the side (going towards the motherboard) of the slot. Once hooked and connected with power cables and such, just turn on your computer and install the driver provided in a CD.|||here's your manual:

http://emachines.com/support/product_sup…

Your machine has an empty AGP port that is ready to receive video card update.

Open the case. Remove the card plate from the back of the PC so your video card's ports will poke through. Ensure the card the seated properly.

Turn on the PC and see what happens.

Good luck!

You have to make sure what type of video card you have AGP or PCI Express and make sure you have a free AGP or PCI Express slot on your motherboard. If you do then do the following.

Shut Down the pc

Unplug your power cord

Open the side of your computer's case

Unscrew your monitor from the back of the video card

Unscrew and remove old video card

Insert new video card(if it's the same type) in the slot

Cannot put monitor into Standby, New ATI Radeon Video Card?

I just installed a new Radeon 9250 card (updated the driver) and tried everything from Power Management, to Display settings and it still says "Please check your video cable" in a blue box when the computer goes into auto Standby after 15 minutes. What are safe temperatures for a Sapphire 5850 Radeon video card?

Under intense use, sometimes mine will break 80 c, but has never gone over 85 to my knowledge. Is that within safe range?|||As long as it isn't operating at over 80 degrees for hours on end at a time, you should be fine. If i were you I would try and improve the cooling and airflow inside the computer by opening up the computers case, checking that there aren't any cables blocking the fans, and maybe apply some new thermal compound to the cpu.

Anyone know how to hook up the extra power connection on a ATI Radeon Video card?

I'm not sure if this connector (very similar to a floppy driver power cable - red, black, yellow, black 4 pin connector) -- which direction it goes on , as it fits onto the video card both ways.

Im in the process of swapping out PSUs, and I failed to notice how it was on in the first place!|||Pretty sure thats a cpu power connector those are the only 4 pin connecters ive heard of, but i think thats just extra if its in a pci or pci express or agp slot it should be fine, not all boards support differnt connectors

What is my video card?

I checked under display adapters and it said ATI Technologies, INC 3D RAGE PRO PCI. Is that my video card? Does that mean I can use ATI radeon video cards?|||1) yes its your video card 2) if you can use a radeon will depend if you have a AGP slot free in your computer,if it is a coputer made within the last 5yrs you probly can unless its a laptop, you will have to open your case and see if you have a brown socket available with nothing in it, get the new card and put it in that slot, be sure to remove the old PCI card, you will see a inprovrment in both graphic speed and a better video picture|||you have the ATI radeon 3D RAGE PRO your using it now|||No that is the video device you have installed

im building a desktop which i will use for pretty much everything...web, gaming, i will be playing mostly starcraft2. at first i decided to go with a mobo that had an onboard video chipset, radeon hd 4250 is whats on it... then i bought a video card that was on sale it is a powercolor radeon 5750 1 gb for 89.99.... compartive wise how do those cards match up?? was buying the 5750 a good idea?

thanx|||Yes! by alot, you are taking the stress off your cpu trying to produce graphics with the onboard chipset. Onboard graphics usually always suck for gaming. I bet you will have a REALLY nice increase in performance while gaming with that card|||The 5750 will eat the 4250 alive, crap it out, eat it again, then puke it up, then piss into that puddle of puke.

Next, I recommend scanning your system with automatic driver update software. It will identify your video card as well as your other devices and then locate the newest drivers for each device. Is my video card Windows 7 compliant?

I have a Thinkpad x31 laptop with a 16mb ATI Mobility Radeon video card? Does anyone know if this meets Windows 7 minimum requirements of 'DirectX 9 - WDDM 1.0 or higher driver'? Thanks.|||The reviews of the Thinkpad x31 I find say its Radeon doesn't support DirectX 9.

The Basic (non-Aero) version of Vista also required a 32mb card at the minimum, not 16.

I have read of some people saying they've had no problem installing on systems below the minimum requirements (separate from video card issues), so I suppose there's still a chance, but I wouldn't count on it.|||If its an old video card, then probably not.

Its normal to release the flagship card before release lower end ones

You might wanna get the 4850. I'm not sure what is the HD47 series, but wouldn't the number indicate it to be lower performing cards?

besides, once the 4890 is launch, 4870 might drop in price, and this is a really solid card. You might wanna wait for 4870 to drop in price|||the 4870 its been around for a while now... and its more than enough for any1, and its really cheap.|||Are you an ATI fan or are you just thinking that they are better than Nvidia? Problem with Radeon video card?

When I try to run programs that require a decent graphics card, I.E. games, my computer blinks and sometimes freezes and recovers. I get messages on my taskbar that say something similar to "Driver ATP Radeon has stopped responding and has been successfully recovered"

Does this mean that I burnt out my video card? What do I do to resolve this matter!

It started doing it when I installed new RAM, so maybe that's the problem?|||Are you overclocking your video card?

Because w/ new ram your card may not opperate at the same speeds it did before.

Example: I had Radeon 4870 w/ 800Mhz RAM and my card the GPU could run at speeds of 850 Mhz and 1150 Mhz on the ram.

Upgraded to 1200 Mhz RAM and now my card will only run steady @ 800 Mhz (GPU) and 1000 Mhz (mem).

So you may have to clock down oyur card some.|||Update drivers.

Also, make sure you didn't knock the external power connector off of the card.

Also, try reseating the card in the slot.

I was thinking of getting a 4890 Radeon video card for my PC?

I have a 4850 in there now. My questions are;

1. Would I get much of a performance gain?

2. Is there anything different about the 4890 that might make it incompatible with my PC? Is the card much larger, or does it require a different connection than the 4850?|||The 4890s are a similar size to the 4850/4870, as more are produced then size range will grow as well (think silent coolers, CrossfireX configuration etc).

To be honest why would you want to upgrade now? 4890s have only been out a little while, give it a few more months for the price to drop a bit and some better variations to be made available to the general public.

The speed difference and performance improvement is around 15% over the 4850 but for the cost its not worth it yet.

the 48XX series of cards are rocking and AMD are rightfully proud of them, they are just a bit price heavy at the moment.

Remember getting a better graphics card is not always the answer especially if you have bottlenecks elsewhere in your system (such as RAM or processor).|||The question you should ask yourself before upgrading is: Is this necessary? Did you recently purchase a new game or a new monitor with a very high resolution and are you now noticing low framerates which adversely affect your ability to game?

If not, then stick with the 4850 until you do feel it's necessary to upgrade. This way you save money and end up with a better upgrade when the time comes.

If you do feel it's time to upgrade, then the 4890 could be a good choice. Although I feel the 4870 is a better value in terms of performance per dollar. Still, the 4870 may not be a big enough upgrade to warrant the cost over the 4850 you have currently. You may even want to go higher than the 4890, depending upon your budget.

Or just wait until prices come down or a new product is released - the HD5800s should be coming along later this year with support for DX11, and engineering samples of the 40nm process are already out. So there are some nice potential upgrades on the horizon.|||There will be a performance gain but probably not enough to warrant the cost of the new card. If you can you'd get a lot better performance doing a CrossFire setup with a second 4850. Otherwise just wait until the next generation of cards come out.|||They require the same connection which is a Pcie x16 slot. 1.0 or 2.0

If you have the 512mb 4850, then you will see a notable ability to run higher graphical settings.

How do you remove the oem heatsink from a radeon video card?

The fan is beginning to die, it's been making a lot of noise lately (it was a huge relief when i realized it was that and not my hard drive). sometimes when i start my comp, the video card fan doesn't even start unless i give it a kick start! i've read that it is a common problem for radeons with the tiny black fan so i want to replace it with an aftermarket model, there are tons of them available but the heatsink is stuck on there pretty darn tight, i'm hesitant to apply too much pressure cuz i don't want to damage the board. any suggestions?|||use a hair dryer to warm up the oem heatsink

did it myself a couple times (9-800XT and X-800XT PE following instructions that came with the Artic-cooling parts.

no need to burn your fingers, but when you start feeling that it's (really) hot, the cooler comes off easily.

coolers are usually also fixed to the videocard with two to four screws. they are very easy to unscrew and shouldn't be back in place with much strenght, neither.|||- make sure you open the screw (duh), theen try to pull it again..

-bring your card to computer shop in your town, and ask the technician there to do it for you (preferebly the shop where you will buy the new fan)|||you video card should be in a PCI slot. if it isn't then it mean your video card is integrated into the motherboard. if it is integrated in the motherboard, i would disconnect all the power connecting to the video card and buy a new video card.|||make sure that all the screws are removed. plug it back to your system and boot your computer. the purpose is to make your card hot/warm enough to soften the bonding between the heatsink and the processor. run a 3d game for a couple of minutes. shut down computer, remove card and here's the most important part: never try to pull the heat sink away! it could damage the chip. try to slowly but firmly twist the heatsink just enough to break the paste between the chip and the heatsink. that should do the trick.

What company who manufacturer of ATI Radeon video cards?

http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.…

AMD purchased the company that manufacturers the chips...

But... AMD sells those chips to other companies as well. For example... AMD makes ATI video cards, but so does Sapphire. So does Powercooler. So does XFX. So does VisionTek. So does Gigabyte. All those companies purchase ATI chipsets, and make and sell ATI based video cards. And there are more.

But the chips themselves... they come from AMD now.

Does changing the video card in a Dell Latitude C640 laptop require you to remove all components?

I have recently purchased a Dell Latitude C640 Laptop, however it only came with a 16mb ATI Mobility Radeon video card. I have found a 32mb video card on eBay, but my friend told me that in order to change them, you have to take everything apart and it's not worth it. Here is the link to the video card. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View…

Also, I am upgrading to 32mb from 16mb, is this even worth it? Thanks alot!|||I would bet you would have to take it apart and put it back together again.|||You would have to at least take it down to the system board, which is not that hard less then 15 mins. I do not believe you have to take the system board out, but might be better to work with if out.

I take these apart all the time no problems at all just be carefull and take your time.

as for upgrading I would only do it if you hav games that will not run unless you upgrade.

256 HD Radeon video card?

Is that good caus I have 15.6" 720p LCD

also I have Bluray drive will I be able to watch stuff in 1080p cause that would be a problem i've heard you can.

I use to have a comp that the pixels would go all fuzzy when i tried to watch 1080 but I could watch 720p but it would sort of jump and freeze but get through it. I don't think the quality was 100% either will my vid card fix this?|||Well, if we knew what card you had exactly we could tell you a lot better, and if we knew the actual resolution of your screen that would help a lot too..

Other than this.. Your screen is 720p, meaning you can only watch movies in 720p resolution even if they were 1080p. To get the max, you need a better screen.

Ati Radeon video card for the sims 3?

So i went on a ati website to find a new video card to down load, or it might have been a graphics card i dont know. But i downloaded one for my computer the first time it says i downloaded it for the wrong computer type. so i picked another and then it said it was not compatable with my hardware....whats up with that?|||1) video card and graphics card are the same thing

2) you dont download graphics cards, you buy them. what you downloaded were the drivers for a different graphics card than you have, which is why it said your hardware wasnt compatible

3) no offense, but you should really let someone else take care of upgrading your computer.|||Ok...

You download a driver for a video card, not an actual video card.

A video card is a physical piece of hardware. It is what allows your computer to display images on your monitor.

If you are getting a message about needing to upgrade your video card when playing the Sims 3, you are going to have to buy a new video card. You cannot download them.|||You can not download a video card, video cards and graphics cards are the same thing. A video card is the hard ware that you install into your computer, you probably downloaded a driver, if you need more help, feel free to email me.

What is the best ATI Radeon video card?

I have a X1950 card and was wondering if the higher number of the video card is better. Like is the X1950 video card better than the X1900 card?|||take it you are asking two questions in one, sort of;

the top ATI card currently is the X2-900XTX, which implements the full M$-visto support including DirectX10; the X1 serie (e.g. X1-9x0) do *NOT* support DirectX10.

does it matter? not really, right now, unless an avid gamer running Visto Ultimate (and having a game which actually uses DX-10)

the ATI card numbering has gotten a little heavy, since ATI didn't want (initially) to use five digits to number its cards. thus the use of a X (e.g. X-800, X-700 aso.) instead of the 10.

how does the same card (thus a 800) compare across different generations? based on ownership of cards from all three generations from 9 to X1, this is how it looks:

X-800XT P.E. (performance relative to 9-800XT: about 2)

9-800XT (1)

X1-600 Pro (about 0.9)

nota bene, the X1-600 is somewhat slower then the 9-800XT in absolute graphic performance but displays the Visto Aero features more smoothly (it supports Pixel Shader 3)

bottom line:

the X1-950 is still a VERY good card.

sure, if you want to play DX10 games (can actually download a hacked DX10 that installs on XP, thus don't even need Visto for that) you are out.

otherwise? just enjoy even the latest (DX9) games at highest resolutions, on XP or visto.|||no not really. the best ati card is the radeon HD 2900.

ATI Radeon video cards?

Ati radeon rage 6 and a ATI RadeonR600 are this the same card or totally different?|||As far as I can find there is no difference.|||No different, ATI renamed RAGE 128 Pro (rage 6) to radeon R100|||R600 is ATI's chip series used in there HD2000 and 3000 series cards. I think the lastest R700 used in there HD4000 series cards. Rage 6 (R100) is a much slower and older technology.

Computer factory reset question/Video card..?

My desktop is starting to run alittle slow, and I have a lot of useless junk on it right now, so I was going to give it a good factory reset... but I was wondering if I do reset my computer do I have to reinstall my video card? I put in a new Radeon video card not to long ago, will I have to reinstall it?|||Yes, you will have to download and reinstall the graphics driver for your Radeon. Not a terrible ordeal, just something to expect once you get back online.

Do I need to uninstall CCC before upgrading my ATI Radeon video card?

Both cards are relatively new, both PCI express. If I uninstall CCC, can I just re-run the CCC I downloaded a month ago to detect this new card?

I'd just like to power down and swap cards, but is that adviseable? Would CCC detect the new card automatically?|||You can power down and swap. Windows will detect the new card but might not be able to install. Once you run the ATi install, it will update Catalyst Control Center, install the drivers needed by windows, and prompt for a restart. Restart it again, you are done and fresh with ATi video power;)

***

Power down, swap cards, fire up, install the CCC for newer card, it will install drivers and ask to restart. After that, it'll pop up again and you'll be good to go. CCC installer will update the current CCC to the new one.

This is the case because updates work the same way. You have download a full CCC and install, restart when prompted, and then you'll be running the new CCC.|||Reliability and dependability.. ATi and AMD for the win;) You are welcome and thanks for the vote;)

ATI radeon video card for guild wars?

i am looking for a dedsktop that is capaple of playing the game guild wars and ive found a dell that has an ATI radeon HD 4350 512 MB, but when i look at the recommended system requirements for the game it says that i need a ATI radeon 9600 is the one that this computer comes with better than that, i was wondering because it has HD before the 4350|||The ATI Radeon 9600 is an incredibly outdated card compared to the HD 4350. The 9xxx series dates back to around 2003 while the HD 4350 is only just 2008. The HD 4350 will be more than enough for Guild Wars but is still recommended if you want to play most of today's latest games with decent settings.|||The HD 4 Series is currently the highest spec'd, I think the highest now is the HD 4890.

is a ATI Radeon video card compadible with dell a pc|||Sure. I don't see why it wouldn't be. An AGP is an AGP. A PCI express is a PCI express. Those are standards that are independent of computer manufacturer.

However, your computer will usually only support one or the other, so you need to make sure which type(AGP or PCIE) your otherboard takes, and buy the card accordingly.|||There is not enought information given here to give you a proper answer. I just installed a ati radeon video card and need some help.?

I just bought an ati radeon video card and installed it as well as the software that came with it. My Screen keeps going completely black and I am getting a message saying "out of Range" is there something I have to do? anything helps at this point thanks!|||"Out of Range" means you are trying to use a video mode that your monitor doesn't support. It could either be caused by too high a refresh rate or a video resolution that your monitor doesn't support.

If it is going black as soon as you log in and you can never see anything, then you'll probably have to boot into safe mode and uninstall the video drivers.|||out of range means that your video card is trying to use an unsupported refresh rate. try uninstalling the driver, reboot, and install the driver again.|||i guess you forgot to uninstall the old driver. Reinstall the old graphics card, start the system and hopefully you can see again something on the screen.

If so, uninstall both graphics drivers, first the new one (from system control / uninstall software), then the old one (from device manager / driver / uninstall). Then shut down the system and install again the new graphics card. Start the system, and if god wants, you see something on the screen, then install the new graphics driver.

Website that has list of NVIDIA and Radeon video cards' performances on Vista OS.?

Does anyone know about a website that has various video cards' (from NVIDIA and Radeon) performance on the Windows Vista OS listed and or benchmarked for comparison?|||you are actually looking at two still distinct issues:

- (relative) performance of video cards

- visa compatibility

so far, only NVidia's 8800 and ATI R600 do later and fully support pixel shader 3.0

see http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?… for a peak @ R600 (& spotlight comparisons w/ NV's 8800 puppy)

also check out http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?… (!)

and, of course, ATI is still not available.

the other one is comparing video cards in general;

basically, a card that is twice as fast under XP will still be significantly faster under Visa; alas, the comparison is ludicrous if neither the faster nor the slower card support visa properly. see link for an independent benchmarking

http://freestone-group.com/video-card-st…

best advice is: wait for ATI's X2K serie (and a less unstable M$-Visa) ((and application that make use of the features...)

by then, chances are that IT sites will have ATI R600 cards to test and compare w/ NV 8800 cards.

Does Nvidia or Radeon video card work better with Intel Core i5?

Both....and neither. All things being equal, cards by both makers will perform the same on an i5 system. What you need to do is compare specific cards. Only then will you be able to answer this question.

it simply depends on the card. the nvidea 200gts sseries performed ebtter on higher resolutions than the 4000 series by ATI

its simply because the cars have different architecture and chipsets.

ATI Radeon X1300 Video Card Makes My Computer Noisy!!!?

Hello, I have this ATI Radeon X1300 Video Card, I like it a lot, even though it sometimes flickers the screen when I switch between resolutions, The only problem with this card is that, ITS NOISY!!! The fan is the one which is making the most noise out of this card. I removed the plug for the fan and it seems to improve the noise, but I am just scared that it will burn out my card. Is there a fan for the ATI Radeon Video Card which is EXTRA QUIET, like my Processor Fan, Case Fans, etc. ? Sorry for sounding like a pussy here lol.|||1. Yes, you will BURN UP your GPU (graphics processing unit) having the only fan that is cooling it unplugged!!!! That's crazy!!!

2. If you want a quieter fan, then you need more case fans to exhaust the heat its making out of the computer case! This will lower the air temps inside the case and the fan won't need to go to 100% to cool it down. (this is what I did)

3. You can get third party coolers that are much quieter than the stock cooling solution, but at a price...Check out Newegg.com

4. Plug the graphics card's fan back in or you will burn it up for sure!!!|||The fans on those cards were terrible.....Here is a good replacement if you want to do it yourself.

good luck....make sure you get a nice seat with the new heatsinks....|||you can always replace the fan if it isn't really soldered directly to your vga card. if it's just screwed over, you can use replacement fans or heatsinks for no noise at all. however, heatsinks aren't as good in dissipating heat. you can also try buying a separate vga card cooler. browse this site for some pics:

http://www.jetart.com|||Unplugging that little noisy fan will probably kill your video card prematurely as it will overheat.

I have one X1300 installed on my computer (512GDDR2 one), and it's not that noisy. I guess it does get a little noisier when playing games but nothing annoying really.

I guess you could try to find a fan from an old video card and try it out.

Good luck

Can I replace my current video card (ATI Radeon) with a (PCI GeForce 6200)?

I would like to play MineCraft on my computer, but I have an ATI Radeon video card...

I'm going to buy a new one but I want to know if this new video card will work with my old computer.

(I'm buying it through kijiji.ca)

The new video card is a PCI GeForce 6200.

My current video card is: ATI Radeon X300SE 256M HYPER MEMORY PCI-E TVO/DVI

My CPU (If it matters): Intel 1GB NH8280

Motherboard (If it matters): Desktop board D945GTP D945PLM Canada ICES-003 Class-B

PLEASE NOTE: I am new in building computers, and extracting information from them so if you don't understand or I left information out, I know, trust me I know, please DON'T Tell me!

Question summed up: Can I replace my current video card (ATI Radeon X300SE 256M HYPER MEMORY PCI-E TVO/DVI) with the one I am going to buy (PCI GeForce 6200)?

Thanks alot, Erwin.|||Hi Zen!

Yes you can but the New Graphic Card! Hooray!

Your computer can Support it.

Thanks and Take care!|||No PCI and PCIe are different.

Your system is weak as hell and if I were you, I'd get rid of it cause that **** is ancient.

The cards you chose are dinosaur **** and your entire system is beyond caveman ****.

But I'd suggest building a real Pc and get rid of that ancient pos. :)|||if your current gpu is Pci-e then you are going to be downgrading to pci if your new card is pci-e like your old one then yes you can use it i dont know it may not work but if you have pci slot in your mobo then it will|||Whoa, several things here.

First off, PCI and PCIe are NOT the same thing. NEVER use a PCI video card if it can be helped. PCI is old, hideously slow, and worthless for any remotely high-bandwidth hardware, which means video cards.

Second, you're replacing one turd with another. The 6200 is a horridly old, slow, and outdated piece of crap. It's borderline worthless. You have a PCIe slot and thus have your pick of a multitude of modern cards. Don't settle for ancient garbage.

Third, you haven't specified a budget. Give us the money you're willing to spend and we can provide suggestions. You should also pop the side off of your computer and take a look at the power supply. Tell us the total wattage it can pump, because that's going to directly tie in to which video cards you can use without replacing the power supply as well.

For $40, the best you'll do is a Radeon 5450. It's better than what you have, but still pretty crappy. At least try to squeeze that up to $50 for a Radeon 6450. And yes, a new one will work. Why wouldn't it? It's all PCIe.

Shop on Newegg.com. If you were going to spend $40 on a PCI 6200 then you were getting ripped off. Newegg is an excellent site with great prices.|||I'm not going to look up the specs but there are a couple of things to consider...

1) Is the slot compatible with your new card.?

2) Is your power supply sufficient to power the new card?

Your old card is a PCI Express card. PCI-E slots are not backwards compatible with PCI. However, I am betting that your motherboard may have a spare PCI slot. You should be able to confirm if you have a spare slot.

Higher end graphics cards require higher wattage power supplies. Make sure that your old power supply is up to the task. Look up the specs on the new card and compare it with the wattage of your old power supply.

My advice? Make sure you can return your card just in case.

Whats a good processor to buy, and what do I need to do if Im switching from an Nvidia to Radeon (video card)?

Okay so the time has come, I am looking to within the next 4 or 5 months to buy a Radeon HD 5850 video card to do away with my old Nvidia 8800 GT. My current processor is an AMD Phenom 9600 quad-core and for me it never was that great. I need a new processor for my gaming needs as well as work. I was thinking of getting an AMD Phenom II X4 3.4 GHz processor since it is only like 200 bucks and money is tight rigtht now. what do you guys think. remember money is very tight right now I only have like a $500 budget for both a new video card and processor. Also, my old video card is an 8800GT, what am I gonna have to do to switch from nvidia to radeon in terms of d/l drivers and stuff|||The first big thing to consider, and really the only thing that might be in the way, is the motherboard. If it is an nvidia based chipset, i.e. Nvidia 680i, 780i, something like that, ATI might not work as well. In most all cases, you should be fine as long as your power supply (PSU) has enough power. You definitely seem to know what you are talking about, so I assume you know what a PSU is. Maybe if oyu could post your current motherboard and PSU combo? Hope we can all help you out!|||The Processor selected is excellent, it offers 10X the bang for buck that Intel's fastest chip does. You will need to remove all of your old Nvidia Drivers: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showt…

Note that using the third party Driver Cleaner software is NOT always needed. Then simply install the ATI drivers from ATI's website or your video card manufacturer's website (Ex. XFX, Saphire, ASUS, VisionTek, etc.)

p.s. im planning to play bf3,bioshock infinite, dead island :) do you think the 6990 is enough for this games.I mean high settings and all :) THANKS IN ADVANCE :)|||I'm sure that the 7-series will one day release, but timing is unknown. Maybe it would be, as you say, May. 2012. But here's the deal. Do you want to wait??

7-series must be a very big step for AMD to take. So the performance might went up a lot, but so is the price. Are you willing to wait and spend the money for something that might just be a rumor?

I'm Having Radeon Video Card Trouble?

So. I'm having a problem with my Radeon HD 6770 video card. I installed it into my Computer correctly. (Put it in the motherboard, and plugged in external power like it said to.) But when I have the external power plugged in, my PC won't start. When I don't have external power plugged in, it will start, but the video won't work because it needs external power. The video card says that it needs 450 watts, and my PSU is a 500 watt, so that can't be the problem. I used to have nVidia installed graphics drivers on my PC. Not an actual video card, but ones that come with the computer and are like "installed/downloaded" sort to speak. So, do you know what the problem could be? Thanks!|||Happy New Year Kiwiman.

It is only because of the power supply, see if your power supply is 80+ certified or not.Having a 500W power supply does not mean that you are going to have 500W of output,

nothing is 100% efficient.

Here is the link to a power supply calculator, you need to round off the figures to get the amount of power you will need for example 380 rounds up to 400.

One more thing don't go for cheap power supplies get one which is 80+ certified.

Ati radeon video card question?

im gettin a computer and wanna know if this graphics card is good??

Integrated ATI Radeon HD3200 Graphics

would it be good for world of warcraft with a 4gig ram?|||No, it is not a good card. But if you are just playing WoW, it will be more than enough

Ati radeon video card?

i need an ati radeon 4870HD, is it the best product for computer playing? can you help me for choose the best video card? i think ati radeon 4870hd 512mb is the best video card over 200 euros or 199$, is it real or a nvidia video card is better?|||Well Ati vs Nvidia, it's like a religious war, a choice, a preference. Personally, I've had bad experiences with ATi, however amazing ones with Nvidia. Currently I own the EVGA Geforce GTX260 Superclocked+ Edition, its got 896 mb ram GDDR3, 448bit interface, runs crysis on maximum no aa 1680*1050 resolution, around 30 to 35 fps, sometimes a little lower. (also using 4 gb 800 mhz ram Crucial, and the Intel quad core Q6600 2.4 OC to 3.2)

However, I've been told the new GTX295 from Nvidia is apparently quite the success, wouldn't mind owning one myself. My friend recently bought a newer ATi, in fact i think it was the 4850 im not too good with ATi anymore, but nonetheless, it was a recent card, and it kept crashing on him.. ATi refused to acknowledge the issue was their Video Card Bios, and once my friend found a 3rd party bios so to speak, he installed into the card, and bam, no more crashes, runs better than before. That being said, I would still prefer Nvidia. but again, personal choices. I've been running the GTX260 for approx 3 months, and haven't had any issues with it. I would highly recommend the new nvidia GTX200 series Cores as a choice for your computer. also, i might add the GTX295, is a dual core card. A lot of people I talked to thought it was the better version of the GTX280, but, infact im certain its just 2 GTX260's slapped together, its got 448 bit interface, meanwhile the gtx280 has 512. Anywho, hope i was of help in choosing a good card, I know from experience it can be quite the task to choose an appropriate card for one's system. With so many options like ram, GPU speed, effective mhz, etc... how can one choose a card in plain sight right? Good Luck in your Search.|||For the price your looking at it is a great card. It competes with the GTX 260, 216 cores which is 30 bucks more. I preffer NVIDA, but that card is a great one!!!

Should I Get a 512MB or a 1GB ATI HD Radeon Video Card?

I'm looking at an HP Pavilion DV6Z and I don't know which one to choose. I usually play online games like line rider, roblox, thing thing arena, and also sims games. Is a 1GB really necessary? Or should I just go with a 512MB?|||I would definately suggest to buy XFX ATI Radeon HD 5670 1 GB DDR5 DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card

*Video Card, Installation CD with Multi-Language User Guide

*Up to 1 GB GDDR5 memory

*ATI Eyefinity technology with support for up to three displays

If you use your computer for heavy applications like online gaming, regular computer gaming and graphics software (e.g the Adobe Suite), then 1GB, but if you only use it for online gaming and a few low specification games, then I would reccomend the 512. But this is just personal opinion.

Hope this Helps|||just go with the 1024 it won't hurt to have spare ram

New Video Card and my CPU keeps restarting..?

Hello, I have a Compaq Desktop CPU. It's about 3 years old now. I recently put in a brand new ATI Radeon video card into it. I had it professionally installed and now, everytime I run the computer, it restarts or the monitor will cut off. I purchased a new Monitor about a month ago. Its brand new, so there should'nt be any problems with it. Any ideas about what could be wrong with it? I've been told it may be overheating, and that the power supply isn't enough or it's broken. I'm at lost of what to do with it now. Can anyone help me out with this?|||Which Radeon card did you just install?

It could be a power supply problem if the computer is a few years old, the newer PCI-Express cards often require a 400W or better power supply. This happened with my Dell, I bought a replacement power supply from PC Power & Cooling.

Obviously before you look into upgrading hardware, download the lastest drivers from ATI's website and check for any issues with your model of computer. Buggy drivers will certainly cause reboots and crashes too.|||yeah the most common problem is the power supply cant keep up, with all the devices drawing power from it.

best way to test the machine is unplug the power cables from the dvd/cd drives, and try a few games u will proberly notice the game will remain stable, a new PSU is very easy to install.. i would recommend getting alteast a 500watt PSU.

as the cooling part, leave the housing off eg the case and test it.|||During the boot process you should notice an error message, this sounds like a hardware conflict. First try accessing device manager and removing the monitor from the list and rebooting. If that fails try removing the video card from the current slot in the pc and placing in a different slot.|||The power supply is more than likely not putting out enough juice to run the card reliably. The P.S.'s in store bought computers are low to begin with, and you're talking about a 3 year old desktop running a brand new video card that needs 400-500 watts of power to run and your desktop is probably running around 200-250 P.S.|||Compaq used to install modified hardware; I had the same problem with a video card on a compaq, and ended up disabling some features on the card to stop the restarts. It worked but I did miss some of those features! Take it with the pros and tell them the problem - forget the monitor, that's not the issue. They might be able to track the offending bit, irq sharing problem, memory address or accelerating feature.

BTW, ATI is (in) famous for churning drivers like hot rolls, so try first downloading the latest driver from their website. Often this simple step will solve your problems.|||power has nothing to do with it... Just take out the dam thing bring it back and get your money back where you bought it from.. Or it could be the jack *** that installed it did a crapy job and didnt check if worked or not... He probaly shuved the dam thing in so hard it flexed the MOBO and its causing it to shutdown with a short in the trace wiring....|||hi

My name is Gurdeep

try some simple steps to solve ur problem

1. run ur computer in safe mode . if it do not restarts it means their might be some problem in os

2. if it still restarts in safe mode try the old card once again .

3 if it does not restart ask u r hardware persone to get it replaced with a card which is compatible with u r motherboard .
