So i went on a ati website to find a new video card to down load, or it might have been a graphics card i dont know. But i downloaded one for my computer the first time it says i downloaded it for the wrong computer type. so i picked another and then it said it was not compatable with my hardware....whats up with that?|||1) video card and graphics card are the same thing
2) you dont download graphics cards, you buy them. what you downloaded were the drivers for a different graphics card than you have, which is why it said your hardware wasnt compatible
3) no offense, but you should really let someone else take care of upgrading your computer.|||Ok...
You download a driver for a video card, not an actual video card.
A video card is a physical piece of hardware. It is what allows your computer to display images on your monitor.
If you are getting a message about needing to upgrade your video card when playing the Sims 3, you are going to have to buy a new video card. You cannot download them.|||You can not download a video card, video cards and graphics cards are the same thing.
